If you traveled up L J Koch today you probably noticed the big trucks and crane. The first of three box culverts went in on the CLV-Yellig Trail. Dirt’s being moved and it’s taking shape. It doesn’t look like much right now, but we are seeing real progress in Santa Claus!

…of the new FLAP Trail on CR 1625 in Lincoln’s Boyhood Home. Asphalt is scheduled to go down tomorrow.
Stump removal on Ashburn.
…and why are they popping up in Santa Claus?
Construction is underway on the CLV-Yellig Trail.
You may have noticed many of the stumps have been removed along Louis J. Koch and silt fences have been installed from the gatehouse past town hall. Construction is planned to start in earnest tomorrow (7/31/2017). Expect some minor traffic delays over the next few months as construction on this trail is scheduled to be completed by October.
You may also have noticed there are a great deal of elevation changes, Some will be filled in, others will follow the natural contour.
- * A silt fence, sometimes (misleadingly) called a “filter fence,” is a temporary sediment control device used on construction sites to protect water quality in nearby streams, rivers, lakes and seas from sediment (loose soil) in stormwater runoff.
