(Santa Claus, IN, July 23, 2020)

Trails of Santa Claus, Inc. (TOSCI) dedicated a new shelter for hikers and bikers on the Yellig Park-CLV trail (just north of Holiday Blvd.). The shelter was a cooperative effort of TOSCI, the Grundhoefer family and Maddox Industrial Contracting, LLC.  It features a plaque dedicating the shelter to the memory of David Grundhoefer, “One of Santa’s Pioneers and Believer in Santa Claus”.

TOSCI, a non-profit organization, is tasked with closing the gap between funds already committed to build the four biking and hiking trails that will connect various attractions in and around Santa Claus. The Trails Project, when complete, will result in increased tourism, more retail establishments and safe recreational opportunity for residents.  More information on TOSCI may be found at  or on Facebook (Trails of Santa Claus) .
